Osmocote PotShots Review

Hi friends!

It’s been a minute since I’ve posted a review on this page and to be honest, I’m quite a few posts behind so please bear with me! 2020 was a hard year for all of us and though there were times I felt absolutely dejected, there were some silver linings that came out of quarantine like finally moving into our own place and becoming a plant mama to my many succulents.

Although I’ve always had a love for plants, I’ve also been a notorious plant killer that can’t keep one alive for more than a week. Looking back, I think the reason for that was because I treated all plants the exact same way (a little drizzle of water every single day) without doing the proper research to see what type of plant it was or what the best way to take care of it was. You can only imagine how my mind was blown when I received an orchid as a gift from a coworker last year and was told to feed it one cube of ice once a week. Ice? Once a week?? Needless to say, after following their instructions this orchid became one of the longest living plants I had ever kept alive.

I was really excited to receive Osmocote’s new PotShots because even though I had started to figure out how to keep my plant babies alive, a little extra help never hurts! I loved that they already came in little pre-measured nuggets that fed my plants for up to 6 months, so I didn’t need to worry about maintenance in between. I simply dug a little hole in each of my pots, shoved the little PotShot inside and then covered it up again with dirt- voila!!

It’s been almost a year since I’ve started using these and my plants are the happiest they’ve ever been! I would definitely recommend this product to any plant lovers out there looking for a little extra help and support. Keep in mind these are designed more for indoor plants, but I used them on my outdoor plants as well and found they still grew nice and healthy. Thanks so much for reading and let me know if you’ve tried these before!
