I was so excited when this surprise package appeared on my doorstep! I had been on vacation in Hawaii the week prior and saw that something was coming but didn’t think it would arrive so soon!

Prior to receiving these products complimentary from Bare Minerals and Influenster, I had seen commercials promoting this product and had been interested to see how they fared. Their tv commercial featuring Hailey Bieber was fun and showed her bouncing her fingers on the blush compact and applying it to her cheeks. The colors look vivid in the ad but when I tried to replicate the look on my own, I found that it was hard to build color both with the eyeshadow and blush.

I love the collection of shades they chose for this eyeshadow palette, which range from a light peachy color to a beautiful burnt brown. I usually do a pretty simple look with my eyeshadow for work everyday using my Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette, and these shades go perfectly with the tones I’ve been feeling all summer. It was a little hard for me to do precise looks using just my fingers like they recommend for best application, and halfway through I ended up going back to my brushes to get a more precise ombré effect.

As for the blush, it was the perfect light and rosy color for the glowy look that’s been so popular all summer. Since the focus has shifted from strong contouring to naturally, barely there looks, this blush provides the perfect natural blush look. Similarly with the eyeshadow, I had some trouble spreading the product with my fingers and ended up using my blush brush.

This product is light and marketed as easy to use, which is why I think it would be an excellent beginning palette for those just starting out on their beauty journeys. The broad range of beautiful colors gives you tons of options to experiment with and the blush seems to compliment a variety of skin tones. If I had a daughter or friend who was interested in exploring with makeup more, I would definitely recommend these products.
