I received the new E.l.f. Cosmetics 16HR Camo Concealer in two amazing shades as part of my most recent collaboration with Influenster. One was about the same shade as my actual skin tone, and one was a few shades lighter and perfect for brightening under the eyes! I’ve never actually used concealer before so I was beyond excited for the opportunity to try this product out for myself!

Right off the bat I noticed that this formula was a lot thicker than my usual foundation, and the formula was harder to spread than I anticipated. I had to cake the concealer under my eyes with a few dots of the wand, and fine tuned it with my fingers near the creases of my eyes. I decided to start with the concealer first, and applied it directly over my bare, moisturized skin. Once I had full-coverage under my eyes, I applied foundation over the rest of my face, and finished off with a spritz of Fresh Vitamin Nectar Antioxidant Glow Water. I love to finish off my foundation with this water because it keeps my skin moisturized throughout the day and seems to also blend my foundation into my skin more smoothly.

The concealer provided amazing coverage but tended to get chalky around my eyes and maximized small creases I have near my eyes. I would recommend using this product if you are having your photo taken but may not recommend it for day-to-day wear; by the end of the work day, my concealer would sometimes cause my skin to dry out which is why I stopped including it in my daily beauty routine.
